I am pleased to announce several upcoming Lyme music events. This Saturday, December 15th from 4-7pm is the CCL Jingle & Mingle Holiday Party at the Lyme Center Academy Building. There will be music, holiday movies and stories, a kids gift shop, refreshments and more! Ms. Tyler’s band students will be providing some wonderful holiday music at The Lyme School on Wednesday, December 19th. From 1:30-2:30, small groups of Strolling Musicians will play in various hallways throughout the school. Then from 2:30-2:45 the Middle School Band will perform in the lobby. Thank you in advance to Ms. Tyler and the Band!
Next Saturday, December 22nd at 7:30pm is the annual Full Circle Christmas Concert at the Lyme Congregational Church. Full Circle is a local choral group directed by Jennifer Yocom (my mom!), who has been assisting the Middle School Chorus and will be helping direct the Spring Musical, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory.
Last, but certainly not least, The Lyme School Winter Concert will take place on Thursday, January 17th at 6pm. (Note: the concert was previously scheduled for Wednesday, January 16th). The Winter Concert will feature grades K-5 and the Middle School Chorus singing songs from movies and musicals including Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, and Hamilton. Expect a couple classic rock songs as well! Our students have been working incredibly hard and are excited to put on an awesome show!
