ABOUT ME:

I am happy to be working with K-4 classroom teachers and math students. My role as Early Numeracy Teacher encompasses differentiated math instruction in the K-4 classes, remedial and enrichment intervention instruction, and implementation of benchmark assessments.

I have taught for 27 years. I have been here for 15 years in many different roles - long term substitute, reading support, and math support. Previously, I was a reading tutor and a grade 3 classroom teacher.

ABOUT NUMERACY

K-4 math support can be broken into two areas - classroom differentiation and intervention.

Classroom Differentiation entails working in each grade level. Planning and coordinating daily lessons with the classroom teacher, using a small group instruction format.

Intervention involves working with small groups of students or individual students with a focus on strengthening skills assessed at below grade level benchmarks. Intervention services mainly focuses instruction with K-2 students
