Students in the brook

It's a pleasure to write the last update for the 2021-2022 school year!  It has been quite a year  in the interim principal position with another school year of Covid and so many other challenges.

I am very proud to say no challenge was too great for our staff.  We came into the year saying, "We got this!" and we sure did.  We are ending the year strong with our happy (and healthy!) students and  a staff that never gives up.  The Lyme School is a special place because we all bring our best to school each day and I am sure we will again next year.  Thanks to parents for all of their support this year as well!

Next year has four new teachers on board: Ashley Sanders in Kindergarten, Leslie Gannon in Grade 1,  Tori Clough in Grade 2,  and Shannon O'Leary is our new music/band teacher.  More info will be shared on each new staff member in August.

We are in need of summer help in our facilities department.  Do you know of any high schoolers looking for some work this summer?  Please have them contact Doug Fillian at dfillian@lymeschool.org.

Other Reminders:

  • 8th grade graduation: 6:00 pm on Tuesday, June 14 on the back field.
  • Last day of school: Wednesday, June 15.  We ring the outside bell at 2:45 pm to mark the end of the year and recognize our rising 8th grade class.
  • Please plan to go across the street to the Converse Free Library after dismissal on our last day of school.  Miss Judy will be kicking off the summer reading program!
