7th Grade Science

In 7th grade science, we began our investigation of the chemistry of water this week.  Students examined how water has unique properties compared to other liquids on our planet.  These activities serve as a bridge between learning about molecules and bonding and our coming investigations of solutions and solubility.  The 7th graders have been enjoying our shift to chemistry lab work and the opportunity to get acquainted with more lab skills and equipment.  Their ability to collaborate and use observations to generate ideas has made these activities a joy to share with this group.  I am happy to say that there is much more chemistry exploration to come!
