During the first 8 days of school, middle schoolers had the opportunity to be the first group to experience PE on the Lyme Town Green. With smaller class sizes, students spread apart at least six feet, wear masks, and are able to participate in one of their favorite sport activities, soccer.
Each student was on a three person team to make game play distanced and safe. There were four teams in total. Each team played one another for approximately 3-4 minutes, allowing for maximum participation and a solid amount of physical activity.
The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed our time doing TABATA workouts along with playing soccer. The kids have made a nice transition to their new space and wearing masks as they play. Although we may be a bit limited due to Covid, we still have our heads in the game! I am so very proud of our kids!
