7th Grade Social Studies and Design Lab
Mrs. Officer and Ms. Abbene have teamed to create an interesting and fun project, while embedding relevant Social Studies content into the 7th graders' tasks. In social studies class, each 7th grader chose a 19th century inventor to research, and was assigned to give a speech about him and his accomplishments. This is directly connected to our recent study of the Industrial Revolution.
Through the expert guidance of Ms. Abbene, students are now creating circuit boards, (also known as quiz boards), to challenge their classmates on the information that they’ll present to the class next week. Students are actively engaged in the construction of these boards and looking forward to quizzing their peers on “their” inventor. Please encourage your 7th graders to explain how their quiz board works.
