Marshmallows rise up!

The Marshmallow Challenge is an engineering-design challenge for beginners to the design thinking to practice rapid prototyping and working collaboratively with a team to solve a problem.

Students had to work in teams of 2-3, and were given only 20 pieces of spaghetti, 1 yd of string, 1 yd of tape and a sheet of paper, had to build the tallest tower possible that would support a marshmallow at the top. It's harder than you might think! The most successful groups were the ones that just jumped into the challenge and started experimenting with the materials. When failure came early and often, it was easier to learn and adapt.

There were also some pretty creative designs!
