This quarter, approximately 23 middle school students have chosen to make fitness a priority by signing up for Elite Fitness. Each week students invest themselves in a variety of cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, and muscular strength activities to improve and enhance their personal fitness levels.
Our time begins with a 25 minute warm up of cardiovascular work and then students break out to participate in a mix of fitness activities. Students have set their individual fitness goals and work to achieve those each week. They can work either in pairs or individually as they move through each activity. Our closure is stretching out the muscle groups worked during class.
There is so much to be proud of with this group. Their commitment to challenge themselves physically is certainly admirable and knowing these students have chosen this for their own health and well being will certainly prove to be beneficial in their future.
