Pratt Advisory using their physical and social strengths to overcome obstacles

Hope your students returned home with fun anecdotes and new games to share from our middle school field trip on Monday!

Students and staff had a wonderful day at Hulbert Outdoor Center and the weather was terrific! It was a joy to watch students working together, having fun, thinking critically, and persevering during their advisory group challenges!

Our 6th graders spent the afternoon in the woods learning wilderness skills - complete with shelter building, a roaring fire, and of course, s’mores!

Seventh graders learned about the history of Samuel Morey and the area as they paddled together along the pristine shores of his namesake.

Finally, the much anticipated high ropes course challenge was reserved for our 8th graders. These students had a blast pushing themselves and supporting one another as they literally stepped up and outside of their comfort zones.

We’re hoping this experience will launch advisories and classmates into a successful and positive 2019-2020 school year!

Thank you Hulbert staff, Lyme staff, and these awesome students for a truly memorable day and super parents for supporting the process!

Looking forward to more advisory fun this year!

With Gusto,

Mrs. Stanton
