Hola! This is my 10th year teaching Spanish, but my first year at the Lyme School. I am so excited to be a part of this community and be working in the Middle School!

In class we continue to acquire Spanish, building on some of the basics that students have practiced in the Lower School. Class time is centered around the acquisition of high-frequency structures in the language. We use these structures in class discussions, stories, and cultural explorations. Students recognize these high-frequency structures when they read or hear them and, with practice, begin to produce them in speech and writing as well.

Additionally this year, I am starting and promoting a farm-to-school and sustainability program at the Lyme School. I look forward to seeing how this programs develops over time and benefits our community.

Outside of school, I love to travel and spend time outside - usually on my little homestead - with my husband, 2 children, dog, cat, fish, chickens and my big garden.
