Second quarter, in both elective blocks, students in grades 6-8 who signed up for Team Tournament Play were members of a small team that took part in a variety of sport activities. This elective was intended to be competitive, as teams worked through a series of games that eventually brought them to a quarterfinal game, a semifinal game, and finally a championship game.
Sport activities in this elective included soccer, basketball, floor hockey, volleyball, badminton, and pickleball. While most sport activities were familiar to participants, pickleball, a game that combines the skills of ping pong and badminton was a new game for most students and while competitive, offered much entertainment.
Congratulations to all teams who worked hard, played hard, and exhibited good sportsmanship throughout the quarter 2 elective.
