Welcome to the Lyme School Nurse’s Office!
About Mrs. Knaus
I received my Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Simmons College in 1997. I enjoyed a glorious summer as a camp nurse before settling into the next 18 years at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. I gained invaluable experience working in various departments within DHMC including; General and Vascular Surgery, the Pediatric Clinic, the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Care Management, and the Outpatient Surgery Center.
I came to the Lyme School in the fall of 2015. School nursing is similar to that glorious summer I spent as a camp nurse. It has been my pleasure to work with the staff, students and families of our community here in Lyme. I believe every student needs a school nurse at one time or another along the way through the years. As a parent of 3 busy school aged kids, I’ll probably see you at various community gatherings and sporting events. When I’m not working or carpooling and the like, I enjoy walking my dog, hanging out with family and friends, gardening, looking for bluebirds, working on the project du jour, playing the ukulele, and knitting. I’m about to raise my first flock of chickens this spring. Wish me luck!
About Mrs. Dwyer
I have been subbing in the Lyme School Nurse's Office since 2013 and am so happy to be working every Thursday and Friday this year. I graduated from St. Anselm College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and spent the first 14 years of my career working as a RN in Intensive Care Units. I live in Lyme with my husband and three children who attend the school this year. When not traveling to ski races or soccer games I’ll be near some body of water. I love working with this group of amazing young people, and the wonderful staff. Please come visit us with any questions!
