The 2019-20 school year marks my 17th year of teaching. I’m looking forward to another year of building upon new ideas, fostering curiosity, modeling creative problem-solving, building confidence, encouraging perseverance, and inspiring the discovery of math in the world around us.
This is my second year back at the Lyme School after spending time teaching abroad in Sweden. My experiences in Sweden reaffirmed my core teaching beliefs: students are able to persevere through rigorous challenges and ultimately flourish in a safe learning environment, our classroom community is built upon the kindness and support we demonstrate toward each other, and it's a place to have fun while appreciating the value of hard work.
My passions outside of school include travel and a variety of outdoor activities. I spend my free time running, hiking, skiing, and planning trips around the globe.
