Kinder and 3rd Grade Tiny Snow Shelter Challenge

The Kindergartners had a fun and snowy time with our 3rd grade buddies on Friday afternoon (12/6/19).  The task was to build a tiny shelter somewhere outside (we had specific boundaries, out near the playhouse) that would keep a red or green grape safe from the elements and/or animals!

In a week or two, we’ll go back out and see how our grapes survived!  It was very enjoyable to hear the K-kids talking and planning a shelter with their 3rd grade buddies, and then watching them build with sticks, leaves, dirt, branches…and maybe other nature supplies that I am not aware of!  Of course, having big, fluffy white snowflakes falling down on us while we were building made it all the more exciting.
