Employee Benefit/Leave Policy for Physical Therapy, Occupational
Therapy, and Speech Pathology Independent Contractors
Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists
hired by the school as independent contractors shall receive the
following. Employees in this category shall be paid through
payroll. The employer portion of Social Security taxes and
Medicare taxes shall be paid on behalf of the employee. The
employee shall receive a contract for each year, to be signed by the
Superintendent. The employee shall be responsible for keeping
their appropriate medical license and/or certification up to date and
keep their own liability insurance current. A copy of these
documents is to be given to the school. Wages will be paid to the
employee upon receipt of a bi-weekly invoice. All independent
contractors shall be subject to a background check.
There are no other benefits or leave associated with these positions.
