Employment of Individuals Infected With Human Immunodeficiency
Virus
A school employee shall not be restricted from the performance
of his/her work assignments and activities in the school district
solely based on a diagnosis of HIV infection. Reporting of
AIDS or HIV infection to the school is not mandated. The employee
may choose to report this information and he/she is the sole
acceptable source of reporting regarding HIV infection.
The superintendent shall be responsible for the consistent
procedural implementation of this policy. The procedures shall
follow the current recommended guidelines for AIDS/HIV as
recommended by the Bureau of Disease Control, New Hampshire
Department of Public Health Services and the Division of Epidemiology,
Vermont Department of Health.
