Policy: ABA
Volunteer Involvement
The School Board welcomes and encourages the use of volunteers
in all facets of the operation of our school to further the
instructional goals of the district. Volunteers are considered
a) an important, essential component of the staffing patterns
of the schools;
b) a valuable means to enhance community understanding of school
needs and to promote better school/community relations;
c) a valuable means of providing connections between our students
and community adults of all ages.
School volunteers must agree to abide by School Board policies
regarding smoking, drugs, alcohol, confidentiality, and matters
involving the safety and well-being of students.
The School Volunteer Program should be defined so that it is
well understood and shall be reviewed periodically for necessary
adjustments.
