Last Saturday I went to see a play that I never thought I would voluntarily go to. I have never liked the Wizard of Oz. However, because the Lyme School play was directed by Mr. Chapin (my husband), I felt I should go. I have to admit, I did not have high hopes that I would enjoy an afternoon indoors.
As it turns out, I was absolutely amazed! Not only did I enjoy the entire play, I actually laughed out loud a few times. The Lyme School students seemed completely at ease in their character roles. The Cowardly Lion was particularly funny and did a fabulous job of expressing his Cowardly Lion emotions. I nearly jumped out of my seat when I heard the Wicked Witch cackling behind me. I was thoroughly entertained. In addition to the great acting the costumes and the sets were fantastic.
I do believe I may even look forward to another production at The Lyme School!
