Children who reach the age of 5 on or before September 30 are eligible to attend kindergarten that year. Children who reach the age of 6 on or before September 1 are eligible to attend first grade that year. The child's birth certificate and immunization records must be presented at registration.

Kindergarten registration is generally held in May for the following school year. The school nurse, a learning specialist, the guidance counselor, the kindergarten teacher, and the principal will greet children and their families, provide information, and answer questions.

Families new to the Lyme School should register their children as soon as possible after selecting a residence, or immediately upon moving to Lyme. Health and academic records from the previous school are needed; the school secretary will write for these records after a parent signs a release form. Please submit the child's immunization records for duplication.
