ABOUT ME

I am thrilled to start my 10th year here at the Lyme School and my 15th year of teaching overall. Previously, I taught special education, 1st, 3rd, and now, 4th grade. I hold a Masters degree in Elementary Education from Keene State College, a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Studio Arts from Wheaton College.

Outside of school I spend time with my two school aged boys. We are usually outside exploring the woods, swimming, biking, or skiing. I also love cooking, reading, and spending time relaxing with friends and family.Welcome to our Fourth Grade page. This is my tenth year teaching here at the Lyme School, and I love it more each time around. My vision as a teacher is to allow children to be individuals. We all learn on a spectrum and within a span of abilities, one being strong while the other is still developing. As an educator of 7-10 year-olds, and a mother of two young boys, I want more than anything for my students to understand that learning is a process. A continuum of trying, with failure, failure, success, failure, failure success. We cannot have success without that, failure.
